Personally, I really enjoyed this film. The contrast between wholesome, beautiful moments in a visually stunning part of the world, mixed with small pockets of despair, raw emotion and graphic violence, is haunting.
There's nothing 'new' in this film that hasn't been presented in one form or another before, but, it's a far cry from the repetitive jump scare, haunted inanimate object guff we've been offered time and time again recently.
I understand not everyone will like this film, but make up your own mind. Don't be put off by 1 star ratings, don't be swayed by high, ratings (like mine.
If you enjoyed Hereditary, Get Out, It Follows etc. You should have "fun" with this one.
